Research on the Psychology of Religion is a peer-reviewed journal publishing academic content, including original articles and book reviews, in the psychology of religion.
The journal publishes articles exclusively in English, accompanied by an extended Turkish abstract.
The submission evaluation process follows multiple steps:
- Initial screening for compliance with journal guidelines (non-compliant manuscripts are returned to authors for revision)
- Editorial Board evaluation of academic objectivity and scientific rigor
- Double-blind peer review by field experts for articles meeting editorial standards
During peer review, both author and reviewer identities remain confidential, and all evaluations are securely stored. If reviewer assessments conflict, the Editorial Board may seek a third review or make a final decision based on existing evaluations. Authors must address feedback from both reviewers and the Editorial Board. Authors may submit reasoned objections to evaluations if they disagree.
Authors retain full responsibility for their published work’s content and stylistic choices.
The journal provides open access to all published articles through its website. Research on the Psychology of Religion maintains a no-fee policy, charging neither for the review and publication process nor paying royalties to authors.
The Editorial Board holds final authority over all publication decisions.
